Juha Kankkunen biography in rallies
Juha Matti Pellervo Kankkunen April 2, 1959, Laukaa, Finland, better known as Juha Kankkunen or KKK, is a retired Rally Driver, he was world champion 4 times in 1986,1987,1991 and 1993, he was the first to win 3 and 4 world titles until he was equaled by his compatriot Mäkinen in 1999, And surpassed by Loeb in 2008 (by winning his 5th title) and Ogier in 2017 (by winning his 5th title). despite this no one has matched his feat of winning 3 championships with 3 different constructors.(Peugeot, Lancia and Toyota), interestingly he never won races that were entirely on tarmac. He was the last WRC champion of Group B and the first to do so with Group A, he also participated in the Dakar Rally in 1988 and 2005 which he won in 1988. He retired in 2002 but returned in 2010 to run the Rally Finland.
His co-drivers were: Juha Repo, Nicky Grist, Denis Giraudet and Juha Piironen.
