Armin Schwarz biography in rallies

In 1988 he participated in his first world championship event, in the 1988 Rally of Great Britain, with Arne Hertz in an Audi 200 Quattro and obtaining a meritorious fifth place. Since then he has participated in 119 races with seven different co-drivers and being official driver of Toyota, Mitsubishi, Ford, Skoda and Hyundai. His best result was sixth place with the Toyota team in 1991. His only victory was the Rally Catalunya in 19913 of the same year. He has been on the podium six other times, with one second place and five third places. His last participation in the world championship was in the Rally Australia in 2005.

In 2006, he changed direction and made his debut in rallying, racing for the first time in the Baja 1000, in Baja California, Mexico. The following year he continued his experience in raids and also took part in the Transsyberia Rally, an 8,000 km journey from Moscow to Mongolia in a Porsche Cayenne.
