Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT team in the World Rally Championship
Hyundai World Rally Team, officially Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT, is the official Hyundai team competing in the World Rally Championship.
It is managed by the Korean brand's racing department, Hyundai Motorsport, and is based in Alzenau, Germany.
The Korean brand began competing in rallying in the 1990s with models such as the Elantra and Hyundai Coupe in various competitions in Asia and Oceania.
He made his World Championship debut in the 2000 season and competed until 2003 with the Hyundai Accent WRC, a period when it was based in Milton Keynes, UK and run by Motor Sport Developments.
Its participation was abruptly interrupted in the final stretch due to budget cuts.
He returned to the WRC in 2014 with the Hyundai i20 WRC.
The brand had a budget of around 70 million euros and did not entrust its programme to a private team, as it had done in the past, but to its own sports department.
